My commitment to my students

Be assured that as your Yoga instructor in the teaching style taught by our Guruji Yogacharya Shri B K S Iyengar, I will take all possible care and caution for your well being.  The instructions given throughout the class are common to all, and each student is required to follow them within the capacity of his or her own body and will. It is up to you to grow your practice according to your individual limitations. Your understanding of the instructions, and feedback to me during the class are critical in defining your practice, and keeping it free of injury. Please note that you take full responsibility of any injury during the yoga class.

Student's declaration of Indemnity

I, the undersigned, do hereby declare that I take full and complete responsibility for myself throughout the Yoga class conducted by the Yoga teacher for not exceeding my personal physical limits in the practice of yoga. I will not hold the teacher liable for any discomforts and or injuries that may have been sustained during or after the Yoga Class.
I, understand and state that it is my complete responsibility to ascertain that there is no medical reason to prevent my participation in class. I further state that I am aware that the Yoga Classes are conducted at venues which are donated by various organizations, Institutes, Trust, Schools, Semi- Govt. Institutes. I waive any claim that I might have at any time for injury of any sort against these Institutes and / or organizations,  Trust, Schools, Semi- Govt. Institutes its leaseholders, instructors, staff or any person in any way involved thereto. I , my heirs and / or legal representatives, forever release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue the teacher for injury permanent and / or temporary and / or loss of life that may occur during Class.
I undertake not to teach Iyengar Yoga unless permission is granted to me through the appropriate authorisation provided by the Ramamani Memorial Iyengar Yoga Institute, Pune, through their affiliated yoga associations.

I further state that I have carefully read the foregoing release, know and understand the contents thereof and have thereafter signed the same of my own free will.
